The Corner of Smithy Brow,
Ambleside
ORIGINAL SOLD
|
Ambleside is really a market
town and has many old cottages.
Smithy Brow is the site of the old
Ambleside Hall.
The much painted
and photographed
'Bridge House' was part of this
very old
property.
It now belongs to the National Trust. This is my
version...........

Sunday afternoon in the Square, Hawkshead
ORIGINAL SOLD
|
The Square in Hawkshead is
another favourite place for
photographers and artists.
The Methodist Church in the
corner of the square is a special
place for me, and is well worth
a visit. Originally two cottages,
it
is a unique place of worship.

Cartmel
ORIGINAL SOLD
|
I love to paint buildings -
they are the very life of the
Lake District. Generations
of families have lived in them
and cared for the countryside,
shaping it's identity with their
construction of barns and walls -
different
in each area. |
